More and more golfers throughout the world are opting for a golf vacation when it comes to precious time off. In fact, entire resorts are now created with the concept of the golf vacation as its core revenue producer.
These facilities entice potential clients by offering packages that include accommodations on site, meals, green and cart fees, golf lessons and even rental equipment.
As a result of this relatively new evolution, golf teaching professionals have added an entire new dimension to their teaching repertoire that includes customer service. The United States Golf Teachers Federation, the nation s largest organization of golf teaching professionals, now includes Customer Service training as part of their certification process.
For those on golf vacation, this includes more than just offering a good product at a reasonable price. It includes all aspects of the customers experience when visiting a facility. From the time they drop off their bags, to the waiter at lunch, to the range attendant, every person or program a person comes in contact with can affect their level of satisfaction.
According to he USGTF, teaching professionals have the opportunity and obligation
to enhance the client s golf vacation experience. This means they must be compassionate
enough to care and enthusiastic enough to exude a passion for the game of golf.
